Must-Read of the Day: Singaporean blogger Wendy Cheng AKA Xiaxue got fed up with some dude named Peter Coffin constantly insulting her vanity on Twitter, so she delved a little deeper into his background to see if there was something she could use to put him in his place.
Boy was there ever: A bit of sleuthing on Xiaxue’s part uncovered an alleged months-long relationship with a Japanese model named “Kimi Kobayashi,” who turned out to be Coffin himself posing as his own girlfriend.
Oh, and it gets much, much worse. Coffin used images of a Korean Ulzzang he swiped from her personal website in order to beef up the authenticity of his faux-affair. Xiaxue went on to find fake Tumblr and YouTube accounts set up for the sole purpose of commenting on “Kimi” love for Peter.
The entire sordid, racist affair is cataloged for posterity on Xiaxue’s website. The moral of this story? Don’t be a douche (especially if you’re using photos of a Korean girl to pretend you have a Japanese girlfriend).
